UNITRON stereo microscope series are available according to the optical path design, the zoom range and the magnification range. All of the UNITRON stereo microscopes (with the exception of the Z12) are compatible with a wide variety of illuminated and non-illuminated stands. Choose the magnification you need, then choose the stand to fit your application.
The Z12 offers a 12.5:1 zoom range (0.63x-8x) with magnification from 6.3x to 160x (with 10x eyepieces) when used with the optional two-position nosepiece and both the 1.0x and 2.0x objectives. The Z12 uses a parallel optical light path in the zoom body (also known as Common Main Objective, CMO, or Gallilean design) that delivers exceptional resolution and flexibility to add accessories such as coaxial brightfield and fluorescence illumination. The Z12 has a proprietary focus mount that is compatible with selected stands.
The ergonomically designed UNITRON Z10 Series Zoom Stereo Microscopes offer one of the best values in the market today. The Z10 features a 10:1 optical zoom ratio, the Z8 features an 8:1 zoom, and the Z6 features a 6:1 zoom -- simply choose the zoom range you need. The Z10, Z8 and Z6 all use a parallel optical light path in the zoom body (also known as Common Main Objective, CMO, or Gallilean design) that delivers exceptional resolution and flexibility to add accessories such as coaxial brightfield and fluorescence illumination.
