[June 1, 2019] — UNITRON Ltd., a leading provider of high quality, precision instruments for electronics, industrial, metallurgical, materials science, research and educational applications, announces a new master distribution agreement with Luxo Corporation (“Luxo”), a subsidiary of the Glamox Group. The agreement gives UNITRON exclusive distribution rights to the Luxo brand of industrial task lights, custom articulated arms and illuminated magnifiers for the low vision, cosmetology and cosmetics markets throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
The distribution agreement includes Luxo products such as industrial task lighting for low vision applications and cosmetics, illuminated magnifiers for low vision and cosmetology applications and custom spring-balanced articulated arms for healthcare and other applications such as patient rooms where power and an extended reach is required. “Since the acquisition of the Luxo microscope division from Luxo Corporation in 2017, UNITRON has demonstrated its continued commitment to, and success in, delivering microscope solutions to a wide variety of markets,” said Brian Taub, Executive VP at UNITRON. “We are delighted to add industrial task lighting, low vision and cosmetology magnifiers and custom arms to our portfolio, and we pledge to provide the same support for these products and to expand their presence in the US, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.”
Phil Matsen (Luxo Corporation National Sales Manager) and Virginie Ducasse (Luxo Corporation Sales Support Manager) join UNITRON and will continue to manage and support the existing Luxo customers and the product distribution channel. UNITRON’s extensive dealer and distributor network will gain access to selling the aforementioned Luxo products as deemed complementary to a dealer’s market focus and customer base. The product branding will remain as “Luxo” and all products will continue to be manufactured to the same high standards by the same Luxo factories.
