UV-A ring lights are ideal for inspecting UV-reactive materials such as Conformal coatings, adhesives and residues. UV adds contrast to visualize scratches and cracks on surfaces that appear uniform under white light. UV illumination is also commonly used with fluorescent dye penetration testing to detect surface flaws.
